2012 St. Patricks Celebration
Dearest Friend of Ireland,
Congratulations! We Googled the words “good, fun folk” and your name popped up. As such, and with the knowledge that you, on rare occasion, are willing to part with a buck for a good cause, you have made the short list.
You’re invited to the Birmingham Irish Cultural Society’s 32nd Annual St. Patrick’s Dinner Celebration on behalf of Kid One Transport. The Dinner will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday March 16 at the Pine Tree Country Club just off the I-459, Grants Mill Road Exit in Birmingham.
Tables of eight (8) are $600, individual tickets $75, and sponsorships $1,000. Haven’t changed the price in years. Of course there will be traditional Irish food, Irish dance, traditional music featuring Tuscaloosa’s Vulcan Eegrits (Gaelic for “idiots”, don’t ask me why). We will close out the evening with the popular local cover and dance band Gentlemen Zero. Of course, we’ll have our annual tasting for you barley aficionados during the evening as well ($25).
Now do the math, for $75 you get a full course Irish dinner, libation included, authentic Irish music, dance, great rock-n-roll, meet all kinds of politicians, cut a business deal or two and write it off while appearing to be a high roller to your employees, friends or family.
Please join us for this historical evening knowing your deductible gift is benefiting Kid One Transport so that children who do not have transportation might find the necessary medical treatment they deserve. For year 2011, Kid One accounted for 12,351 rides (up 12% from last year) but fell nearly 21% short of the community’s demand. We need to help!
Please fill out the enclosed card. If you can’t come we still accept generous checks…It’s about the kids.

Dearest Friend of Ireland,
OK, so we know you went a little cheap on Christmas for your family this year and you are thinking “I need to make amends pretty soon.” You are looking for a way to network business and politically, write it off, but you want the spouse and kids to think it’s your special night out… We’ll here is your excuse.
You’re invited to the Birmingham Irish Cultural Society’s 31st Annual St. Patrick’s Dinner Celebration on behalf of Kid One Transport. The Dinner will be at 7:00 p.m. Friday March 18 at the Pine Tree Country Club just off the I-459, Grants Mill Road Exit in Birmingham.
Tables of eight (8) are $600, individual tickets $75, and sponsorships $1,000. Of course there will be traditional Irish food, Irish dance, traditional music featuring Huntsville’s Bourbon and Shamrocks as well as our homegrown Jasper Coal. We will close out the evening with Southern Comfort a very popular local cover and dance band. Of course, we’ll have our annual “tasting” for you barley aficionados during the evening as well.
I challenge you, where else can a person go, eat and act like a roving gypsy, entrap local politicians, unrestricted by the new Alabama Ethics laws (cause believe it or not, they pay their way to this gig!), enjoy free libation, eat a multi course dinner, watch four acts of entertainment… All for $75! All for a charity!
Please join us for this historical evening while knowing your deductible gift is benefiting Kid One so that children who do not have transportation might find the necessary medical treatment they deserve. Last year, Kid One served 9,106 families, up from 8,331 in 2009 but demand and gas prices will be up this year so we need your help.
Please fill out the enclosed card (right click, save link as).
If you can’t come or will be out of town we still accept generous checks…
